  Lab Online

S.D. Myers' Lab Online system is an internet based system used for accessing S.D. Myers Analytical Services lab data quickly and easily. With Lab Online, you can view and print your lab results directly on the internet. One of the best benefits of being able to access your test data on the internet is that you can view your test results soon after the tests are performed, from almost any computer.

You also have the ability to upload a few pictures for each transformer. Also pictures that S. D. Myers has for your transformers may be uploaded as well over time.

The Lab Online system has a graph feature that allows you to visually track specific data for multiple test dates. It also shows for some graphs when a test result moves into a questionable or unacceptable range. Trending of results in this fashion can be very important when allocating limited maintenance funds.

With Lab Online, you can print the results of our transformer tests and your entire transformer inventory.

We invite you to provide your feedback to us by clicking on the feedback button at the top of every page in Lab Online. We look forward to reading your comments. Thank you.

  Navigation

Navigating through the Lab Online system is easy. After logging in you will always begin on the welcome page. This page will give you a quick summary of your equipment status. There are many buttons on this page you can use to quickly navigate and perform functions.

From the welcome screen, you can proceed to the equipment list page. To view details about a particular piece of equipment click anywhere on the line for that piece of equipment.

Once you are in the details view you will begin on the Visual Inspection/Field Service page. You can change to any of the tests by clicking on the name of that test. You can also go to the photos, comments, maintenance assessment reports, service recommendations and graphs pages by clicking on their respective buttons.

You can also move among the equipment by clicking on the VCR style buttons (First TC, Prev TC, Next TC, Last TC). These buttons use the same sort and filter settings you specified on the Equipment List page (see next section)

If you are a smaller company which would not have multiple customer numbers in S.D. Myers' database, this will not apply to you. By clicking on the list box, a list of all available locations will be displayed. You can select any customer number to view only that location.
NOTE: Please be aware that if you have a very large amount of data, it may take several seconds to switch from one customer/location to another or select to view all.

The equipment pull down option allows you to filter on several pre-defined criteria. When you select one of these filters the list of transformers on the screen will change to reflect your choice.

The available choices are:
• view equipment from the most recent order
• view equipment not tested in most recent order
• view all equipment
• view equipment with any UN results
• view equipment with QU or UN results
• view equipment with all AC results
• view equipment with retest in 1 year recommended
• view equipment with retest in less than 1 year recommended
• view decommissioned equipment and miscellaneous

The following information is displayed for each transformer:

All the options for the test category are now displayed. You can place a check mark next to each specific test to have it graphed. For example to show results for hydrogen and methane, place a check mark next to each.

By default the graph will use the lowest number and highest number from the test results as the minimum and maximum numbers to use on the Y axis (numbers on the left hand side of the graph). You can specify whatever you would like to have as your minimum and maximum numbers in the spaces provided.

Finally you can choose your graph type from the pull down menu. Lline graph and bar graph are availabe for all test types, and area graph is available for Dissolved Gas Analysis and Metals in Oil tests.
